If someone from overseas asked me what New Zealand Aotearoa looks like, I would hand them this picture book and say “like this”.
This is a photographic book with the images linked by blank verse both in English and in Maori. The photographs are outstanding and the verse perceptive. It shows the mountains, the coast, the mud pools the small towns, the farm, the lakes and a view from space.
This is for everybody from 5 years to adult. Good for the library and the dressing table.
