About the Author:
Tim Waitai-Tipene, (Ngāti Kuri/Ngāti Whatua) – was adopted into the Waitai-Tipene whanau as a toddler. He was raised in two cultures, NZ Māori and NZ European. First published in 1996 Tim is now the author of more than thirteen books, five of which have won awards.
Isobel Te Aho-White, (Ngāti Kahungunu/Ngāi Tahu) – a very popular illustrator based in Wellington. “My personal artwork is definitely about connecting people with each other and with nature … uplifting people, especially young women,” Isobel remarks.
