Ako Journal has reviewed Mandy Hager's 2019 book 'Hindsight' in their Summer 2020 issue.

The reviewer notes that Mandy 'asks the reader to consider social and moral contexts' along side the facts of history which 'is an ethically responsible approach that helps teach critical thinking alongside the facts and complexities of our history.'

Ako is the journal for members of NZEI Te Riu Roa. There are almost 47,000 NZEI Te Riu Roa members throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. They are professional educators – teachers, principals, centre managers, teacher aides, administrators and many more – who work in primary schools, intermediates, kura and early childhood centres.
